Yamazaki is a single malt Japanese whisky made by Suntory at the Yamazaki Distillery, founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii between Kyoto and Osaka. It was Japan's first malt whisky distillery, and Yamazaki 12 Year, released in 1984, is widely regarded as Japan's first single malt. Core Yamazaki whiskies are bottled at 43% ABV (some limited editions, such as the Mizunara 2024 release, are stronger) and are aged in American, Spanish sherry and Japanese Mizunara oak, which gives them ripe fruit, honey and a signature incense and sandalwood note.

The Yamazaki lineup. Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve is the no-age-statement single malt and the easiest way in. Yamazaki 12 Year is the classic: peach, pineapple, vanilla and a gentle Mizunara spice. Yamazaki 18 Year is richer and deeper, with dark fruit, chocolate and sherry. We also carry limited editions such as the Yamazaki 18 Mizunara 2024 as they arrive, and the very rare Yamazaki 25 Year when we can get it. Because age-stated Yamazaki is made in limited quantities, stock comes and goes.
