Mawby Dinner
(4 products)
Join us at Scratchboard Kitchen for a spring evening celebrating the sparkling wines of Mawby Vineyards, one of the pioneers of traditional-method sparkling wine in the Midwest.
Founded in 1973 on Michigan’s Leelanau Peninsula, Mawby has helped define a uniquely American style of sparkling wine shaped by the cool influence of Lake Michigan with wines that are vibrant, elegant, and remarkably food-friendly.
Mawby has been part of Scratchboard Kitchen since the very beginning. When we first opened, we were excited to discover that some of the most delicious, high-quality sparkling wines we could find were being made just across Lake Michigan. Supporting producers in our region has always been important to us, and Mawby quickly became one of our favorite bottles to share with guests.
For this special evening, we’re bringing that partnership to the table with a four-course seasonal tasting menu inspired by the Midwestern landscape and the flavors of early spring.
Each course will be paired with a Mawby wine presented by Michael Laing from Mawby Vineyards.
The evening’s pairings:
- Cultured butter-dipped spring radish paired with NV “Us” Brut
- Spring pea salad paired with Grace Rosé
- Ramp pierogi paired with Blanc de Blanc
- Rhubarb-glazed spring lamb paired with Taslimøn
Together, the menu and wines highlight just how versatile sparkling wine can be, carrying a meal from the first bright sip through deeper, savory flavors.
