Description

Trimbach Pinot Blanc

Luminous straw. Delicate spicy nuances and sweet apple and pear aromas on the inviting nose. Then flavors similar to the aromas, and above-average acidity for a wine made with so much Auxerrois (this is a blend of 80% Auxerrois and 20% Pinot Blanc). Unlike Trimbach’s 2017 Sylvaner, this is made for the most part with bought grapes (though Pierre Trimbach told me he would like to limit the bought grapes to 50% of the total). No matter – it’s an outstanding Auxerrois wine.
