What's in the kit

• Rittenhouse Rye Bottled in Bond 750ML (100 proof): the bartender's rye. Spicy and sturdy enough to stand up to sweet vermouth.
• Carpano Antica Formula 1L: the vanilla-rich Italian vermouth that made the modern Manhattan. A liter, because you will use it.
• Angostura Aromatic Bitters 4 oz: the original since 1824.
• Luxardo Maraschino Cherries 14.1 oz: real Marasca cherries in thick syrup, not the neon ones.

The recipe

2 oz Rittenhouse, 1 oz Carpano Antica, 2 dashes Angostura. Stir with ice for 30 seconds, strain into a chilled coupe, drop in one Luxardo cherry. Makes about 12 drinks per bottle of rye. Keep the vermouth in the fridge after opening.
