Indeed, only the Crème de Cassis de Dijon is required to be made in Dijon based steep blackcurrants in unpreserved alcohol or dyes, followed by the addition of a judicious dose of sugar, whose dissolution is done directly in the cold alcoholic juice blackcurrants.
