Kasteel

Kasteel is a Belgian beer brewed by Van Honsebrouck Brewery in West Flanders, Belgium, known for strong dark quadrupel ales. Every Kasteel beer we list is 11% ABV. The Liquor Barn lists Kasteel Donker in a 4 pack of 330ml bottles and in 750ml, plus Kasteel Barista Chocolate Quad and Kasteel RaspBarista Raspberry Chocolate Quad in 750ml.

Kasteel means castle in Dutch, and Kasteel Donker (dark) is the classic: a rich Belgian quad with dark fruit, caramel, raisin and a warming finish. Barista Chocolate Quad is brewed with real Belgian chocolate and coffee, like a dessert in a glass. RaspBarista adds tart raspberry to the chocolate quad for a Black Forest style. At 11% ABV these are sipping beers. Serve them cool, not cold, around 50 to 55 degrees, in a tulip or goblet, and share a 750ml bottle. They pair with chocolate cake, aged cheeses, stews and game.
