Bogue Sound Distillery

Bogue Sound Distillery is a grain-to-glass craft distillery in Bogue, a small coastal town in North Carolina. It makes whiskey under the John A.P. Conoley label, plus rum and gin, from 37.5% to 52.5% ABV. The Liquor Barn carries John A.P. Conoley Bourbon (105 proof), John A.P. Conoley Straight Rye, Peanut Butter and Salted Caramel whiskeys, and John Newland Maffit Spiced Rum, all in 750ml, and lists Bombshell Gin.

For sipping, pick the John A.P. Conoley Bourbon. At 105 proof it has plenty of strength for neat pours or an Old Fashioned. The Straight Rye is the choice for a Manhattan. The flavored whiskeys are made for shots and easy mixing: Peanut Butter blends peanut butter flavor with an unaged whiskey base, and Salted Caramel is 75 proof.
