Monastrell, known as Mourvedre in France, loves Jumilla's hot, dry climate and gives dark fruit, spice and plenty of body. Red Label blends Monastrell with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from vines averaging 50 years old and spends 12 months in French oak. Blue Label is the bigger, Monastrell-dominant blend at 15.5% ABV for steak, ribs and other grilled meat. Juan Gil Blanco is 100% Moscatel de Grano Menudo, dry and aromatic, good with salads or seafood. Decant the reds for 30 minutes before serving.
