Barrell Craft Spirits is an independent whiskey blender in Louisville, Kentucky, founded in 2013, that blends barrels sourced from distilleries across North America. Most releases are bottled at cask strength, from about 102 to over 140 proof, while the Foundation line is 100 proof. The Liquor Barn stocks Barrell Bourbon, Seagrass, Dovetail, Vantage, Tale of Two Islands and Foundation Bourbon, all in 750ml.

Barrell Craft Spirits releases numbered batches of bourbon, rye and American whiskey, each bottled at cask strength without chill filtration. Barrell Bourbon is the flagship blend, and proof varies by batch. Seagrass is a cask-strength rye finished in several types of casks. Dovetail is a blended American whiskey finished in wine and spirit casks, and Vantage is a bourbon finished in three types of virgin oak. Founder Joe Beatrice selects barrels for flavor rather than for the distillery name.

New to Barrell? Start with Foundation Bourbon or Foundation Double Barrel at 100 proof. For a bold pour, pick Barrell Bourbon, Seagrass or Tale of Two Islands. Limited releases such as the Gold Label, Grey Label and age-stated blends come and go.
