Banzai Bunny

Banzai Bunny is a naturally carbonated sparkling sake from Nara, Japan, bottled at a light 7% ABV. The Liquor Barn lists four Banzai Bunny sparkling sakes in 300ml bottles: the original Sparkling Sake, Sparkling Yuzu, Sparkling White Peach and Sparkling Blueberry.

Sparkling sake is lighter and fizzier than regular sake, closer to a Moscato d'Asti or a hard cider in strength and feel. The original Banzai Bunny is crisp and lightly sweet with a clean rice flavor. Yuzu adds tart Japanese citrus, White Peach is soft and juicy, and Blueberry is fruity and a little jammy. The 300ml bottle is a single-serve to share size, good for two small glasses. Serve it very cold in a flute or wine glass, or with sushi, spicy food, fried chicken and fruit desserts.
