WhistlePig Double Double Rye is patiently mellowed for 18 years. Before industrial distillation, America’s original farmers would malt a small portion of their grain to start fermentation, the essential step that turns water and rye into glorious whiskey. As a nod to the farmers, Double Malt Rye is crafted from a mash bill of Rye and Malted Barley. History aside, these grains unite in a show-stopping Rye Whiskey that stretches far and wide across the flavor spectrum. Its base of 91% Rye delivers bold, peppery spice, while 9% Malted Barley adds soft, floral and earthy character.
Each annual edition of our 18 Year is crowned with a bespoke glass topper, handmade in Vermont.

First of all let me start out by saying, I was introduced to this 18 year old at a VIP tasting at Whistle Pig Distillery in Shoreham this past August. If you're in Vermont and have an opportunity to visit the Distillery, I highly recommend it. Enough for the promo, let talk about this 18 year old double malt rye whiskey. Smooth taste that lingers on your palate until your next sip. An exceptional tasting double malt with flavors throughout the entire drink making it your new favorite. Cheers!
